MVA offers a wide variety of sports for 2nd through 8th grade boys and girls.
Our flag football team competes in the County Sports League. Our season begins in the fall, usually the first week of school. The team is open to all middle school students.
Girls' volleyball also participates during the fall season. It is open to all middle school girls. The schedule usually coincides with the flag football team, so both teams can support each other. It's lots of fun! Go Mustangs!
The Marble Valley Cross Country team is open to students in 3rd through 8th grade. We start conditioning in the summer because the meets usually start the first week of school. The courses vary in distance from ¾ of a mile, to a mile, and finally 1 1/2 for the 7th and 8th graders. We always have a great showing at county finals, which are held at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds in early October.
Track & Field is open to 6th though 8th grade and is the last County League sport of the school year. Meets are held at various schools in El Dorado County. Typically several students place at this all county meet. Mustangs are Awesome!
Boys' basketball starts right after the flag football and Girls' volleyball season ends. We have a 5th/6th grade team, a 7th grade team, and an 8th grade team. Our 8th grade boys' basketball team won the County Championship in 2011 and 2013. Way to go Mustangs!!
Girls' basketball starts in February. The middle school girls compete against schools all over El Dorado County. Last year we co-hosted the Rolling Hills invitational basketball tournament with Oak Ridge High School and Rolling Hills Middle School, 20 teams in total.
Boys' volleyball is new to Marble Valley in the last few years. The season starts late February/early March and continues through April. Last year we finished 2nd place in the County Finals.
